Save time and worry – with Cenex Automated Fuel Delivery, your tanks are remotely monitored and automatically refilled as needed. You pay only for the fuel you use, never running out or tying up money in unused fuel. Ask us about Cenex Automated Fuel Delivery, another innovation available only from your trusted Cenex fuel supplier.
A fuel sensor and monitoring system are installed in your fuel tank. When your fuel drops below a predetermined level, the monitor sends a refill signal to your fuel distribution center and a truck is automatically sent to fill your tank. You can select your tank level range that’s comfortable for your operation. This system is only available from authorized Cenex fuel distributors.
There is no charge to convert to the Cenex Automated Fuel Delivery System. We will supply, install and service the monitors and controllers at no cost to you.
There are three billing options: deferred, upon-delivery and fixed-price contract.
The most popular is deferred pricing. Each month, the monitor estimates the amount of product you have used and you are billed for that amount, even though your tank is kept at a seasonal level.
If you prefer, you can choose to be billed at delivery or you can contract a fixed price. You can also choose to buy out the fuel in your tank at any time, or put a hold on the tank when not in use.
If you choose this special pricing option, the price you pay for fuel is equal to the 30-day average price of fuel for the billing cycle in which you actually use the fuel. This has proven to be an advantage whether it’s an up market or a down one. Plus, you always have the option to own the fuel in your tank at any time if you like the current price.
The Automated Fuel Delivery System is a partnership between CHS Ag Services and Cenex. As a CHS Ag Services refined fuels customer, you will buy locally and receive personal service (and billing) from CHS Ag Services — but your fuel will be delivered by Cenex.
Yes. We will work with you to customize the program to fit your operations needs. In working with an energy team member you can determine your minimum tank level, schedule delivery times, forward contract, buy out inventory already in your tank or use numerous price strategies to lock in favorable prices. You maintain total control over your fuel supply management, and you can log onto a website 24/7 to check your tank levels and your current and historical fuel usage.
No, farms, commercial business and homeowners can benefit from this program. Regardless of size, customers like you have been filling up their tanks without the upfront expense and avoid having money tied up in inventory. You will always have a reliable supply of quality fuel on hand without disruption and without the hassles of checking tanks and calling in orders.
Not necessarily. Your tank(s) will be properly sized to your needs. The program is designed to be efficient in managing deliveries and minimizing trips. Rest assured that our routing system knows tank levels, seasonal demands and will adjust accordingly. Most area producers have already evaluated their tanks to be able to operate for fourteen days without receiving fuel.
At CHS Ag Services, we’re committed to providing innovative, high-quality, dependable fuels to keep you going. Proven products like Cenex® Ruby Fieldmaster®, Cenex Roadmaster XL®, unleaded gasolines, and #1 and #2 seasonal diesel fuel are all available through our Automated Fuel Delivery. Fuel freshness can be maintained by reducing off-season fuel inventories; we will work with you to develop a plan for winter blending if desired.
